When you lose your baby, the world goes quiet — but everything inside of you is screaming, to say the least. I still remember how empty the hospital room felt after Aaliyah was born still. I remember the silence when we left. The hollow instructions. The absence of support. Walking out back into the city as if nothing just happened. 

Aaliyah in Action exists because in those first few days — when you’re bleeding, broken, confused, and numb — you deserve more than condolences. You deserve true care as you move through those first days of intense and inconsolable grief. 

This grief starts the second you hear “I’m sorry there’s no heartbeat”, the second you realize you’re leaving the hospital with empty arms. If no one supports you in those first few moments, it can shape your entire lifetime journey.

Our care packages aren’t gifts. They’re a foundation. A beginning. A soft landing when the world feels unbearable and nobody else understands.
